Privacy Policy

My Marketing Data ("MMD", "we", "us") is an internal tool built and operated by Adsit Digital LLC, a marketing agency. Our team uses it to create, manage, and edit the ad campaigns we run for our clients, and to build reports on how those campaigns are doing. It is not a product that clients or members of the public sign up for or log into — only the Adsit Digital team uses it.

Because we handle this data to provide a service to our clients, our client (the business whose advertising we manage) decides how their data is used, and we act on their instructions. In privacy terms, the client is the "controller" of the data and we are their "processor". This policy explains what information MMD handles, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to delete it.

What information we collect

Information about our own team

Members of the Adsit Digital team have accounts to use the tool, which include their name, work email address, and a password. If you email us, we keep the correspondence.

Information from the ad accounts we manage for our clients

When a client hires us to run their advertising, they give us access to their ad account — for example, by adding Adsit Digital as a partner in their Meta Business Manager and assigning their ad account to us. We then collect the data we need to manage those campaigns and report on them. Depending on what a client has us manage, that includes:

  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising data, received through the Meta Marketing API: the client's ad account details, campaign names and settings, and ad performance numbers (such as impressions, clicks, and spend). Where a client has us manage their lead ads, this can also include the contact information people submit through those lead forms (such as a name, email address, and phone number).
  • Google Ads data, where we also manage a client's Google advertising: their ad account details, campaign information, and performance numbers.
  • Other marketing and sales data a client asks us to include in their reports, such as records from their CRM or their payment provider (for example, Stripe), so a report can connect ad spend to real results. We only bring in data a client has authorized us to access, and we never receive or store full payment card numbers.

Information collected automatically on this website

This website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to run and protect the site.

How we use that information

We use the data described above only to:

  • create, manage, edit, and improve the ad campaigns we run for the client the data belongs to;
  • build reports for that same client, including matching up records that belong to the same customer across the tools we manage for them;
  • operate, secure, and troubleshoot the tool;
  • respond when you contact us.

An AI assistant — a Claude model provided by Anthropic — processes this data inside the tool to help our team do the work above, such as drafting and adjusting campaigns and pulling numbers into reports. The data is used only to do that work. It is not used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model, and a member of our team reviews the results.

We keep each client's data separate from every other client's, and we use one client's data only for that client's own campaigns and reports. We do not sell your data, we do not use it to advertise to your customers, and we do not combine clients' data into shared profiles. Data we receive from Meta is used only to provide our advertising service to the client whose account it came from, consistent with the Meta Platform Terms.

Who we share it with

We share data only in these situations:

  • Service providers. Two outside providers process data on our behalf, each under a written agreement that requires them to act only on our instructions and for no purpose of their own: Cloudflare, which hosts the tool and stores its data, and Anthropic, which provides the Claude AI assistant that processes data to help our team. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
  • Legal requirements. If a law, court order, or government request requires us to disclose information, we will.

That's the whole list. We do not sell, license, rent, or trade your data or your customers' data to anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep a client's data while we are managing that client's advertising and their ad account stays assigned to us. Beyond that:

  • If a client removes our access (for example, by un-assigning their ad account or removing us as a partner in their Business Manager), we stop collecting immediately and delete the data we collected from that account within 30 days.
  • If a client ends their relationship with us, we delete all of their data within 30 days.
  • We may keep a specific record longer if a law requires it (for example, billing records kept for tax purposes). When that applies, we keep only what the law requires, only as long as it requires.

How to ask us to delete your data

You can ask us to delete data at any time. The data deletion page has step-by-step instructions. In short: a client can remove our access in their own Business Manager, or email forrest@adsitdigital.com with the subject "Data deletion request". We will confirm your request with a confirmation number and tell you when the deletion is complete.

If your information appears in My Marketing Data because a business we work with is advertising to you or has you in their records (for example, you filled out one of their lead forms), we hold that data on that business's behalf. Contact us and we will either delete what we're able to delete or connect you with the business that controls the record, and we'll tell you which of those happened.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. The credentials and access tokens for the accounts we manage are encrypted before they are stored. Each client's data is kept in its own separate database.

Children

My Marketing Data is a business tool. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change meaningfully affects how we handle your data, we will tell the affected clients before it takes effect.
